Students were asked to select a country in the Middle East and create a 2+ minute news anchor themed podcast of a current event happening in the Middle East. The video format chosen was iMovie and the students utilized "green screen" techniques in completing this podcast. Each group, comprised of about 5 students, had to also share a research Google document as well as another Google doc. to write their podcast script. From the research, filming, and iMovie production, this was student driven project combining history with technology to create a 21st century learning experience.
